Sorry Ive not been around much lately folks. Work has just been nuts and still is. Recession ???? Its either a figment of the media's imagination or I am in the fricken twighlight zone. Its never been so busy. In the next 9 days alone I personally have 22 motors to put out which is crazy and its been like this for weeks. I cant cope with putting any more out between now and the end of the month. Im telling those buying them now that they might get theirs in about 2 weeks and not before.

Selling them is the easy part and actually putting them out is easy. Its the damn paperwork in the middle that seriously yanks my chain. Computers were supposed to eliminate paperwork but they just make it easier to print off even more. When I started doing this over 20 years ago each transaction had about 8 bits of paper. Now its typically over 50. It seriously twists my melon lol. This job is going to kill me if Im honest with the stress of all the shitty paperwork I have to do. Its time all these bureaucrats that create this unnecessary crap finally got a foot up their arse and lost their jobs. The extra work they create with their so called improvements and having to cover your arse into the bargain is getting beyond a joke. Theres a whole fricken industry of these idiots who keep thinking up ludicrous new ideas in a bid to justify their very existance. I dont mind change when there is a benefit but nowadays we just seem to get changes for the sake of change. Fire the lot of these bureaucratic bastards and just let people get on with their goddamn job.

Okay rant over

Other than that I hope everyone is well.

P.S. Gaming ??? I would love to but I just dont seem to get the time any more.

We have that here too but its called "Scrappage" in the UK. Its due to end soon here also but that doesnt concern me too much. Even before it started in May things were booming. Im convinced that recessions are all media hype. I dont remember the one in the late eighties/early nineties either but the media keep trying to remind me of it. These media whores instigate the bloody things if Im honest with all the doom and gloom they propigate. For the vast majority of us though life just goes on as normal.

I cant comment on the situation in the states but Im convinced this all comes about because some arsehole journalist in the home counties is stupid enough in the first place to pay £350k for a three bedroom semi and when his mortgage goes up and he starts to struggle he moans that we are all doomed when in reality it is just him that is living on baked beans but still he reports that armageddon is coming. As a result of all the talk of doom and gloom everyone simply holds back for a bit as they did last year but when the confidence returns they go out and make up for it.

Those wankers in the media just dont like good news. The UK stock exchange is currently bouncing back big time and people like me are booming but do they report it ??? No they do not. I remember laughing to myself at media reports last xmas for instance because the news was so full of what a disaster 2009 was going to be. Then at the end of that particular news bulletin they added the throw away line that the xmas shopping was the highest it had been in years but that was just a blip according to the news reader. The bad news was front page but any good news was subdued because it did not suit the media agenda. What a bunch of bandits lol.

I reckon the real reason for the upturn is because all the recent doom and gloom has depressed people so much that they are now spending their cash to make themselves feel better. Also not wishing to sound in anyway big headed tough times can also be good because they do tend to weed out the shite. Like nature it is all about evolution. If you were crap in the first place then when the going gets tough your going to fall flat on your arse but the tougher ones always survive and come out stronger as a result. If Im honest I was actually kind of looking forward to this year because I had an instinct it would turn out to be a good one. Everyone else in my industry was shitting bricks at the tail end of last year but I had that gut feeling. Its all about having positive mental attitude I guess.

When this is all over and it is all analysed people will realise it was all just a fart in a teacup. It was all media hype that caused a rippling burp for a year or two. Yes there will be losers but the losers will be the ones who panicked and baled out at the wrong time. Sadly though there are always the innocent victims lower down the rung in the ladder who get caught up in it all but in my view when the jury comes out with its verdict this whole shitstorm was all caused by the media.

Guilty as charged.

Location: The Real World (for a minute)!
While that's good (for you and your area), it's certainly not true here. This is the worst I've seen the economy in my lifetime. There are more houses on the market than I've ever seen. Housing prices have dropped shockingly (maybe to where they should have been to begin with, but shocking nonetheless); my Sister has had her house for sale for 18 months (priced below it's appraisal value; which has also gone consistently down the whole time. In her rather small; small town neighbor hood..................not a single house has sold during that time, that was not a forclosure or an estate sale (sold after an inheritance---the deceased's survivors selling; could afford to go well below market as they had nothing invested). I'd think about moving back to the old country (Scotland) except it's such a Socialist Paradise. A gun toting, Life NRA member , and libertarian like me would not blend well, methinks!

BTW: Kinnes.................I finally tracked down my Sottish ancestry. My Great Gand Mother (not Grand Mother as I thought) was a Kilgore of Clan McDuff (MacDuff?) from the Inverness area.

Life in the states isn't great, but it's not quite as bad in my neck of the woods as it could be. California and Florida where they had the highest influx of inflation housing wise are the area's really hard hit. In general housing is still not doing well. they are selling, but down 10-30 percent off of appraisal. Good long term for buyers but it will take awhile to recover to prices from just 2 years ago. Everything else is going up, especially food and normal living expenses. It's kind of a wash, a lot of industry and small business is just getting killed. Of course, big business is still doing rather well.
